The 2015 NEF 5K Run/Walk and Family Wellness Fair, presented by CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Health System, was Saturday, May 2 at SeaWorld San Antonio. Almost 5,000 people registered and about 3,500 were at the Park. This is the event's highest attendance to date!

NEF Pillar Recognition & Banquet
On Sept. 17, almost 700 NISD business partners, community members and educators celebrated the 2014 Pillars of Character at the Northside Education Foundation (NEF) Pillar Recognition & Banquet, presented by Raba Kistner, Inc., at Valero Energy Corp. Overlooking the beautiful Hill Country night sky from Valero’s Vista Room, the view was just as star-studded inside as guests celebrated NEF’s 20th anniversary “Old Hollywood Style”.

NEF Clay Shoot Tournament Aimed High for Student Success
NEF hosted its first ever sporting clay shooting tournament, presented by Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, on Nov. 4, 2014 at the San Antonio National Shooting Complex. Novice and expert shooters enjoyed a fun day raising much needed funds used to support the important work of NISD faculty and staff. NEF appreciates the event's sponsors and guests who came out, aiming high, to help enrich NISD students' education.

Los Leones Student Arts Festival Draws a Crowd
This premier art festival, presented by Jefferson Bank, is a collaboration between NEF, Northside ISD and The City of Leon Valley.
On Saturday, Oct. 25, thousands of art enthusiasts visited the Leon Valley Conference and Community Centers to enjoy NISD student art, a diverse variety of food and artist vendors, and fun student musical and theatrical student performances, including a zombie dance. Students also competed in a Chalkfest Contest.

NEF: Top Ranking Education Foundation in Bexar County
NEF is the top ranking education foundation in Bexar County and among the top 25 in the nation. The nation’s only study and ranking of K-12 education foundations, “Stepping Up: The Top K-12 Education Foundations in the Nation,” has ranked NEF 24th, with three other Texas education foundations among the top 25 and an additional four among the top 50.

NEF 'Fore' Education Golf Tournament
The annual NEF 'Fore' Education Golf Tournament, presented by Joeris General Contractors, took place Monday, April 13, 2015, at Oak Hills Country Club. It was a huge success! The money raised will be used to award grants to NISD faculty and staff needing funding to implement innovative enrichment programs for students.

Donate today during the 2015 NEF Employee Pledge Drive sponsored by Security Service Federal Credit Union. Solar Car Races
It's off to the races for more than 1,300 Northside ISD elementary students! The 20th Annual NISD Texas Solar Car Races are on Saturday, April 30 at NISD's Gustafson Stadium. More than 3,000 people are expected to attend, including competitors from around Texas. On four concurrent tracks, students will race solar cars they built with just a motor, a solar panel, and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) instruction. Join the solar powered fun and support students in STEM action! Advertising opportunities are available. Stay tuned.

UTSA Football NISD Family & Friends Night
Looking for something fun to do the weekend after Thanksgiving with local or visiting family and friends? Get your birds up and come out to the Alamodome on Saturday, Nov. 26 for the "Northside ISD Family & Friends Night" at the UTSA football game. The Roadrunners are taking on the Charlotte 49ers at 6 p.m.
Tickets are only $20 for Northside employees, family and friends, and include lower level seats, a free UTSA hat, and on-field access following the game. Some of the proceeds benefit the Northside Education Foundation.
